In April Saturn shifted into retrograde, forcing us to slow down and reassess our responsibilities and commitments. This time of introspection of reorganization and introspection is coming to an end. Are you prepared for the planet of Karma to come back full force?

The powerful influence of Saturn reigns down upon our life, forcing us to answer for the work that we have done. For those that are willing to roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty, Saturn will shine a light on your work ethics and sincere efforts. However, for those that have been taking the easy road and putting in minimal effort, or falling behind their responsibilities entirely, Karma will be far less welcoming.

Saturn’s orbit is significantly larger than that here on Earth, requiring 28-30 years to make its way through the entire zodiac. Therefore, it takes more than 2 years for the planet to make its way through each of the signs. Moving into the sign of Capricorn December 2017, this is where it will remain until March 2020.

Associated with order and structure, Capricorn is ambitious, hardworking and determined. Ruled by the planet Saturn, when the two come to together this energy is magnified. It is for this reason that Saturn going direct is such an important and significant astrological event. While this influence is going to impact every area of our lives, the two areas that will be hit the hardest are our finances and our health. Understanding the pressure that you are about to come up against will empower you to manage this change in the most efficient way possible.

If you have been struggling with poor spending habits, low savings, and mounting debt, this is the right time for you to turn everything around. Saturn is going to encourage you to improve your financial knowledge, but it’s going to take a lot of hard work and dedication to truly turn your bad habits into smarter choices.

Start by tracking your spending, and don’t leave anything out. A cup of coffee at your favorite coffee shop may only cost $3, but if you purchase a coffee every morning for a year that adds up to more than $1000! Once you have an idea of where your money is going, you can start to make some changes. Identify your priorities and make sacrifices where required. This will free up funds to pay off your debts once and for all.

In this fast-paced, crazy world, it should come as no surprise that we often slack off on keeping up with our own health and well-being. Doctors appointments often go unscheduled, check-ups are missed, and our lifestyle is anything but health focused. Consider the wide assortment of fast-food options available, and you will clearly see what I am referring to.

As Saturn moves into the Capricorn, Karma is going to demand that you step up and begin to take responsibility for your well-being before it’s too late. Start making your health a priority.

Begin by readjusting your diet, replacing fatty, sugary and processed foods with nutritious, fresh choices. If you have a farmer’s market nearby, they are a great resource for fresh fruits and vegetables. You can also make a significant impact on your health by getting active and improve your sleep. Finally, if you are behind on your annual exams, pick up the phone. Remember, Saturn is going to force you to address this responsibility. You don’t want to challenge how far Karma will go to make this happen.
