According to a Marist poll, the idea of soulmates isn’t lost in today’s society with 73% of Americans believing that they are destined to find their one true love. However, some relationship experts warn that as romantic as this notion may be, it could be driving a wedge between us and those that we love. Why? This concept enforces the idea that there’s a ‘perfect’ partner out there. So how do we respond when we find ourselves on the other side of the honeymoon phase, and our partner doesn’t look so perfect after all. This reality shatters the ‘perfect’ illusion, leaving many questioning their relationship altogether.
The truth is that love is anything but perfect. It’s messy, difficult, challenging and flawed in so many ways. Real love is that moment when you love your partner including these quirks. This means getting to know your partner’s personality and the best way to speak directly to their heart.

While some people may rely on the words that they speak to express how they feel, Aries instead believes that love should be expressed through the smaller physical actions such as a quick kiss, holding hands or a passing hug. Therefore, the best way to tell them just how you’re feeling isn’t going to come through some elaborate poetry or confession of your feelings. Instead, pay attention to the smaller details.
