Music in itself can be very therapeutic. Listen to the things you love and let them give you some hype. While that might sound a bit cheesy it does help. If you’ve ever been down and out you know how powerful music can be in regards to giving you a bit of a boost.

If these things are not helping then medication is always an option. Talk to your doctor and see what he or she has to offer you. Sure, some people don’t want to go this route but for some, it is needed and there is nothing wrong with that.

While you will want to close yourself off fight the urge. Spend time with people you care about and let them help cheer you up. While this might be harder than it sounds it is worth it. You don’t have to be at a party to feel better, just go out with a few close friends.

Exercising will help you a lot when it comes to this kind of thing. When people are closed off and spending all of their time inside they don’t tend to be very active and that makes things even worse. Even if you’re just going for a walk once or twice a day, you’re going to be benefiting from it.
7. Eat Healthy Foods
The things we eat affect us big time. Research according to Medical News Today has shown that people with SAD tend to eat more carbs so cutting back on carbs might be a good place to start. Really look to your diet and make sure you’re ingesting things that could make you more energized instead of becoming a couch potato without fighting back.
