You likely don’t want to actually admit it, I mean really, who does – but your little sister is by far one of the most important people in your life. She’s your first close friend and you confident, the one you turn to for support when things are rough, and the first person you call to celebrate when things are going well. In fact, scientists even say that sisters protect us from depression! What more could you ask?
It’s a relationship that can’t be replicated in any other place in our life. You may make some incredible friends, or find the love of your life, but nothing else will compare.

#1 – You were the first friend that she ever had.
As soon as she was old enough to start making connections with the people around her, she had you there! You were her first true friend, the person she looked up to and the one person she longed for acceptance from above all others. That created an incredible and unique bond that neither of you will share with anyone else.
#2 – She is your greatest cheerleader and support in life.
Whether she wants to admit it or not, your little sister looks up to you. There is nothing more than her wishing for you to succeed. In fact, in her mind, you can’t possibly fail so she knows that you’re going to succeed at everything and anything that you attempt. For this reason, she will be your biggest cheerleader, encouraging you to do the impossible.
#3 – Life will change, and people will come and go, but your sister will always be there.
If there is one thing that we are guaranteed in this life, it’s change.
