This weekend we will be feeling the effects off of some of the more recent celestial events and facing a couple of new ones as well. Not only will we still be forward-facing and trying to get things done thanks to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, but we will also be dealing with Mercury square Uranus.

Now with Mercury square Uranus happening this weekend on the 18th, we are in store for quite the experience for sure. This whether in your natal or not really makes thinking harder. You see, while we normally try to be very productive, this can be a major setback. While not as intense of a setback as a retrograde would be regarding Mercury, it still brings forth a lot of reflection.

According to Astrology King, this transit brings forth as follows in regards to energetic challenges:

Mercury square Uranus transit brings excitement and change to your daily routine and interactions which can cause upsets and nervous tension. You may receive shocking news or experience something unexpected that forces you to change plans. The normal tempo of life increases and you may have an unsettling feeling of always having to catch up.

This is not the best time for making plans or attending detailed paperwork due to a lack of concentration. An increased need for excitement or amusement makes you easily distracted and less responsible or dependable. Likewise, others may let you down or seem distracted.

Mishaps are likely in your communications whether in person, in writing or on the internet, where misunderstandings could lead to arguments. It could be that you or the other person misses a vital piece of information which could lead to the wrong thing being said. You are more likely to offend others and be offended under this influence.

On the positive side, you have an increased ability to view things through a different perspective, which can lead to original ideas and breakthroughs. Chance encounters with others are possible, but friendships made now are likely to be short-lived.

The anxiety and stress of this transit can be somewhat alleviated by postponing important meetings or appointments. Think twice before making bold statements, and double-check and travel plans. Avoid making spontaneous decisions or agreeing to things on the spur of the moment. Remaining flexible and open-minded is key to dealing with any unexpected events, from your car breaking down to printer jams.

Now, as noted above we will still be feeling the effects from Saturn and Pluto’s conjunction as well which makes these energies quite conflicting for a number of reasons. This weekend might not seem as if it will be overly confusing but I can assure you it will be. That having been said, it is very important for each of us.

Through resetting and coming to terms with all that is before us we might find parts of ourselves we never expected to come across in this period. Setbacks are going to be left behind once all of this is said and done and perhaps we will all be moving forth on proper ground. Foundations will be built this weekend that could last you a lifetime if you work through them properly.
