While we all typically know what our sun signs are, that in itself isn’t our only sign. Your other signs reveal a lot about who you are as a whole and why you do the things you do.

When it comes to astrology generating your natal chart can work wonders when it comes to getting to know yourself better. You have one sign for each celestial body and depending on which one you’re looking at you can learn a lot. In this article we will be going over the moon sign and what it means for you.

Before diving into this take the time to generate your natal chart. In order to do that you’ll need your birthdate, time, and location. From there you can click here and generate one. Once you’ve done that you will be able to see each sign you have for the celestial bodies before you.

Your moon sign is important because it reveals your inner workings. It is basically who you are within. While not everyone knows this, your moon sign is one of the most important things on your natal chart.

AstroStyle wrote as follows going over what your moon sign means:

One of the most important pieces of your astrological chart is your moon sign (where the moon was when you were born). The moon sign shapes your emotions and your soul. It colors all the subconscious stuff going on below the surface—your deepest needs, and what helps you feel emotionally secure.

The moon moves into a different sign every 2-3 days, which is why for instance, a Leo born August 11 could be quite different from a Leo born August 14.

Your moon sign can also influence how strongly your Sun sign is expressed. For example, if you’re a fiery Aries with a mellow Taurus moon, your aggressive nature may be toned down by the steady Taurus influence. Or, if you’re a watery Scorpio with a watery Pisces moon, you could be extra emotional and intuitive, since these are the traits of water signs.

Want to find your true soulmates and kindred spirit? Check out your moon sign and theirs. Chances are, your moons are in compatible signs, or your Sun and moon are in similar signs. In fact, having moon signs in similar elements (fire, earth, air or water) can be more of a determining factor in how well you’ll connect emotionally.

For example, if you’re an Aries moon you’re someone who tends to want to feel more than most others. You seek things that others might not because you need that edge over the rest of the people around you. You’re someone who seeks challenges and while that might not always be present externally, it is something you know within strongly.

The more you get to know yourself the more your moon sign will come up. It will help you understand your feelings and reveal the hidden parts that even you may struggle with from time to time. To learn more about all of this take a look at the video below.
