Dreams are mysterious, and they almost always have a meaning in your real life. Even if you don’t dream about specific scenarios, you will see things manifested in symbols.

Dreams open a realm of extreme curiosity and oddities that we as humans are always trying to decode. And when you throw certain people and events into the mix, dreams become all that more astonishing and questionable. What are these messages hidden in our dreams trying to tell us? If you are wondering what it might mean when you dream about someone, here are a few answers.

There are many, many reasons why you might be dreaming about someone in particular. What is your subconscious mind trying to tell you? The simplest reason could be that you fell asleep with that person on your mind. It is only natural that you thought about this certain person while you fell asleep, and they found their way inside of your sleep pattern. Another simple reason could be that you have been thinking about this person a lot, possibly even a lot more than you should. Which could be a good or a bad thing.

On the other hand, your dream might not even be about this person. It may be something much deeper. For instance, you might be dreaming about certain qualities in this person’s personality: you are going through a very stressful stage in your life, and this person was a stressful impact in your life. Therefore, you’re dreaming about this person could be a result of what is going on in your life. Your dream could also represent the relationship you had with someone. For example, maybe you had a very pleasant relationship with this individual, which may occur if you have entered into another great relationship with another person, or you are simply at a peaceful time in your life.

What if I am dreaming about the person I like?

The frequent dreams about your crush are more than likely a subconscious desire to let this person know your true, inner feelings, especially if the dreams are positive.

On the other hand, if you have told them your feelings, and they rejected you, this could be a symbol that you are unconfident and believe you will be rejected by every person that you encounter.

Dreaming about Someone that you love

Dreaming about someone that you love, more often than not, will show you how deep your love and passion is with this person. For instance, if you dream about blissful moments or happy times with this person, then it could mean that you have a deep connection with this person.

On the other hand, if there is a lot of fighting and instability, it could be a sign that the connection is fading. If you are dreaming about your partner with another person, it could be a symbol that you don’t feel as passionate as you once did.

Dreaming about Someone Who Has Passed

The Jungian theory for dreaming about someone who has passed on suggests looking inward as to why you are thinking about this person. Ask yourself what the person was like and what you admire about him? What parts of you identify with this person? Are there qualities in him you want to act out? If the person was always sad or depressed, are you feeling sad and depressed? The Jungian theory suggests that these dreams are ways to understand yourself better.

If Freud’s theory is followed, your desire to see the deceased has been fulfilled by your dreams. You wish to see the person, so your mind brings the person’s memory to life in a dream.

Unfortunately, you cannot put in a dream request like putting a DVD movie into a player. You can try to concentrate on your memories of someone to help you dream of that person, but it is not a guarantee. Your subconscious knows what dreams you need to help you process memories.

$exual Dreams

Ahhh, the wet dream… the individual is turned on to a certain extent and needs an outlet for their passions and desires. It is important to note that just because you are dreaming about a certain person in a $exual way, does not mean that you are attracted to that person. It is simply a way for $exual emotions to be outpoured and the person may vary.

For example, just because you had a $exual dream about your best friend after you have spent the day together, does not mean you are attracted to your best friend. It just means that you have been around them all day, so of course, they are going to be on your mind to a certain extent. Your subconscious paired the two and left you with a wet dream.

Other reasons…

Sometimes when you dream about a person, no matter who it is, it has no correlation to the actual individual. Sometimes these people are there to symbolize things you are feeling or thing that are going on in your life. These dreams may manifest to help you through problems, get over a bad experience, or to bring you happiness or hope. As we all know, dreams can be incredibly real sometimes- and sometimes that’s exactly what we need to see through situations or feeling in our current lives.

What is the most wonderful dream you have had involving a certain person? What do you think it meant, and how did it make you feel?
