We all have ‘friends’ but how many of those friends are true friends? Well, honestly probably not all of them but that’s okay.
We’re only meant to have a few true friends in this world because those few true friends make up for all the bullshit that our fake friends put us through. They are there for us in ways no one else ever is, and they see us in ways the world never will. Your truest friends will be there for you when you need them the most, and they will not let others talk shit about you behind your back.
Instead of feeding into the drama they will clear your name quickly. Sure, you might think most would be willing to do this but honestly very few truly will follow through with this. A lot of your fake friends will simply go along with it and help others tarnish your name. Your true friends, however, will stand up for you time and time again even if you’re never there to stand up for yourself. They know you’d do the same for them and because of their willingness to be there for us, we should cherish them big time.
Appreciation for those who truly care is something we cannot spread enough of. These friends show us the kindness and love that we have always wanted from this world, and they never try to change us. They know us entirely and choose to care for us even though we’re flawed and that in itself takes a lot.
If you haven’t already thanked your true friends for being there for you each and every time that they were and continue to be, perhaps you should. We often forget to remind those we love and care for how important they truly are. These people are with us when we’re thriving and when we’re struggling to get by. They share what they have and are always willing to see the good in us even when we ourselves are unable to do-so.
Don’t be afraid to give them a call or do something special for those friends who help you hold the world up on your shoulders. They are the ones who help pick you back up when you fall, and they are the ones who will remain by your side whether you’re acting like a jerk and need a reality check or you’re letting your true self shine and doing good for this world. They see the good in you and they do their best to also help others see it as well.
