We were all dreamers at one point or another and honestly, right now dreamers are what the world needs more of. We’re going through a lot at the moment and it honestly feels like things could not get worse.
If you’re a mother, aunt, cousin, or anything of that sort and you’re around younger kids who are sharing things with you that you might not think are that realistic please for the love of all things wholesome in this world don’t shut them down. Don’t be the person who tells them that they aren’t able to do the things they want with all of their heart. Let them dream and dream big at that.
Sure, the fact that your daughter wants to make pencils or fly to the moon might sound a bit out there but you of all people should know she can do whatever she puts her mind to. She is someone this world needs and that innocence and imaginative nature is something we could all use a good dose of. We all need to be more willing to do the impossible.
Just because something sounds crazy doesn’t mean it is, there have been people on the moon before so why couldn’t she be someone who made their way there as well? Yes, it would take a lot of hard work but if she truly wanted to do it, she could. You could accomplish your dreams too if you really put your mind to it. If you wanted to open a restaurant or change careers overall, you could if you really fought hard enough for it.
Kids are amazing in my eyes because they don’t have to have a plan just yet, like we as adults do. They just know what they want and feel that they are going to do that whether they actually continue down that path or not as time passes. If someone you know wants to do something whether they’re young and naive or older and just looking for a new purpose in life who are you to shut them down?
This world is full of toxic people and toxic things, we’re all tearing one another apart and hurting in our own ways, and honestly, I’m tired of it. This year, 2020, has been rougher than most and well, the more willing we are to allow dreamers to dream and those who are willing to chase their goals to do-so the better things will become overall. There is no sense in beating someone down because you’re too bitter to chase your dreams in the way they’re chasing theirs.
We should believe deeply in the people around us and helping them get off their feet. Rather than saying ‘How will you make people come?’ to that new shop your friend wants to open, tell them to let you know when they’re ready to go so you can come to have a look at the things for sale. Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest differences in the people and the world around us.
This world has become bitter and cold, it’s not a place where dreamers are able to flourish and that’s something I think we can all agree on. We are constantly beating one another down and acting as if no one is good enough. All of this needs to change. We should be feeding into the dreams of others regardless of how old they are. It’s never too late to reignite that fire within.
Let your nieces and nephews want to be superheroes and stop pretending like the world is too harsh for us all when it doesn’t have to be. Making moves towards your dreams can be extremely scary but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be making those moves. Here on this Earth, we are in need of a major shift and until we allow true creativity to flow, that’s not going to happen.
