On the 9th of March, there will be a supermoon and that supermoon is going to be quite the sight. While this year is going to hold some pretty amazing moons, this one blows many of them out of the water.

According to The Old farmer’s Almanac, this will be the first of three supermoons we’re going to see in 2020. This supermoon will reach a full peak at 1:48 PM on Monday the 9th and should be noticeable no matter where you are. This moon is often referred to as the worm moon because it is the full moon of March. March for those who do not know tends to be around the period that earthworms come out of their dormancy and begin to show us signs of the coming spring.

KSAT reported as follows regarding this moon:

This moon will be the first of three supermoons in 2020 — the other two are set to take to the skies on April 7 and May 7, the almanac says.

A supermoon is a new or full moon that occurs when the moon is 90% of its closest approach to Earth, according to NASA.

In a year, there can be three or four full or new supermoons in a row, NASA says.

If you want to catch a glimpse of this interesting full moon chances are all you’ll have to do is go outside and look at it. However, if the sky is cloudy and things are dark or rainy you might not be able to see it as well as you would otherwise. If you have a telescope getting it out over the next few nights might be a good idea.

While this full moon has not been mentioned as much as the others we’ve seen through 2020 so far, it’s one well worth looking out for. If you want to know more about this moon and the energetic side of things please check out the video below. It will hold lots of energies for us all and if you’re someone who likes to look at the astrological side of things perhaps you should consider how this whole thing may affect you.

This kind of thing is well worth taking the time to view and if you have some negativity looming over yourself perhaps a proper cleansing might be a good idea. No, you don’t have to stand under the moonlight all night but at least peeking out your window might do you some good. For some reason spending a little time watching the moon when it’s full always helps me get rid of stress and find a calmer sense of self.
