On August 22nd, we will see the second full moon in Aquarius this year. Not only will this be a blue moon, but it will also be an amazing chance for intimate relationships to truly flourish and connect on a whole new level! Are you ready?

The second and final full moon in Aquarius will take place on the 22nd. This past month has been quite intense astrologically speaking, with the Lionsgate portal following the Leo New Moon- and the month is set to go out with a bang with the full moon in Aquarius. All of the energy that has been building since February 11th is about to truly be manifested by this full moon.

You may feel as though there is a sense of purging taking place- and if you are feeling that, you are right.

As the energies from the previous month come to full fruition- old energies will be purged, making way for new beginnings. And with Uranus going retrograde around the same time (just two days before on the 20th) you may be feeling more connected than ever!

Adding to the mystique of this particular moon is the fact that it will be the second moon back to back in the same zodiac sign, which makes it a blue moon. Aquarius the water bearer, who takes difficult emotions and renews and heals them, makes this moon quite powerful for struggling relationships, friendships, and other close connections.

You may feel drawn to try to work on your broken relationship one more time, and if you haven’t been feeling the intimacy lately with your partner, now is the time to spice things back up and invite the spark back into your relationship.

What makes this even more unique, is since this is the second Aquarius full moon, the two moons work in tandem with one another, creating a massive flow of energy. So events that have taken place since the last full moon will likely resurface and be pushed in a better direction as well.

If you are feeling a wind of change or being pushed towards growth, go with it. This is the beautiful energy that is surrounding this blue moon. Aquarius dances to the beat of their own drum and this full moon are encouraging you to challenge yourself by pushing outside of the status quo and your comfort zone to finally achieve your goals.

According to Astrology King,

Full Moon Meaning

Sun opposite Moon brings your home, family, and intimate relationships into sharper focus for the following two weeks of this moon phase. Opposing forces such as work versus home, or what you need versus what you want, create inner tension and external pressures. This can lead to conflict and crises that drain your energy.

The lunar qualities of emotions and instincts reach their peak at a full moon. So use your increased emotional strength and intuition to overcome any relationship challenges. Subconscious awareness allows for an impartial and balanced look at your personal relationships. You will clearly see any relationship dynamics or negative feelings causing disharmony.

Full Moon Aspect

Full Moon conjunct Jupiter brings optimism, generosity, good luck and success. Opportunities may arise for personal, material, and spiritual growth. It could be travel, education, wealth creation, or an intimate relationship.

So this full moon should make you feel happy and content. Your caring and supportive attitude can bring new friendships and favors from others. A significant woman in your life could have a positive effect on your emotional wellbeing.

But while the Moon with Jupiter is a very positive influence, the Sun opposite Jupiter does bring the potential for over-optimism, greed, arrogance, and immorality. So be thankful for any good fortune and remember to share. Use self-control and moderation to avoid loss, disappointment, and embarrassment.

The only way to meet your goals is to change things up and push harder and that is exactly what this full moon is all about!

To fully embrace the energies surrounding this blue moon, I highly suggest lighting a candle and sitting beneath the moon (or next to a window with a view of it.) Write down everything that has changed in the past year, and your goals for the months to come. What have you purged from your life to make way for new beginnings? Meditate on your goals and your connections to others. Spend time with someone you love and could stand to have a stronger and deeper connection to. Take the piece of paper and place it in a journal and during the new moon (in the coming weeks) and pull it back out at that time to contemplate on your new beginnings and to really shift your energy towards achieving everything you have in mind for the rest of 2021!
