This world is full of toxic people who will say just about anything to get what they want. I know, they’re not always easy to spot but you should be going the extra mile to weed them out.

The more emphasis you place on your own personal values the clearer this will become. A lot of people in this world will say things that do not line up with their actions and you should be able to pickup on that. If someone is saying one thing and doing another, you should not keep letting them get by with it.

Do not be a punching bag for someone who refuses to better his or herself. Hold your own and really work hard to keep good company. All too often we let toxic people take advantage of our kindness and that in itself needs to come to an end.

Your time is important and your overall well-being matters. Stop letting people sweet talk you and use their words to get on your good side when all they’re doing is spouting nonsense. Focus on the things people do and how they act overall. If something isn’t sitting right with you there is most likely a reason for that.

You deserve to be surrounded by people who will help you grow and want to be by your side through the good and the bad. People who jump ship when things get rough do not belong in your life, period. Keep your values in mind and know when ties need to be cut.

I know, this kind of thing is easier said than done but you are more than capable. Know your worth and stop wasting your time on people who refuse to waste their time on you. If they keep saying they will change but never do, you’re only putting your efforts into the trash bin.

People who want to do better and be better will make an effort, point-blank. Do not sell yourself short. You do not owe these people anything. If they want to be in your life they will go the extra mile for you in the ways you also go the extra mile for them. Stop being so willing to ruin your life for someone who doesn’t even see you as a permanent person in their day-to-day.

Sometimes we are better off spending time alone. The company you keep is a reflection of you, remember that. Surround yourself with people who prove themselves to your time after time.
