We all know that Elon Musk has been working on some enormous things and well, Neuralink is one of those things. Neuralink for those who do not know is a startup that works to link human brains with computers, yes you read that correctly and it does sound like something from Black Mirror.

Back in July Musk tweeted that he would show neurons firing in real-time on August 28th breaking down ‘the matrix in the matrix’ or so he claims. This meaning there is something coming very soon and that in itself could show us just how much progress Neuralink has garnered as time has passed. That being said, this real-time demonstration will be something huge and easily never before seen when you really think about it.

While the 28th is still a few days away, it will be here before we know it and this live stream demo will be quite unique and reveal a lot more than most might expect. According to Tech Times, this ‘promising brain chip may even reveal a human trial for the device.’ That in itself is quite monumental for a lot of reasons. While we don’t know much right now, once this stream is over everything will be laid out on the table and many of us are quite curious about it, rightfully so.

Futurism wrote as follows on this topic:

What that means is up for interpretation. But Musk, as is his habit, has already set the expectations for the startup sky-high.

“The profound impact of high bandwidth, high precision neural interfaces is underappreciated,” he tweeted back in February. “Neuralink may have this in a human as soon as this year.”

That line has led to some speculation that Musk could be announcing human trials of the secretive company’s technology during the Friday event.

As you can see, most of what we’re seeing online is speculation and nothing is set in stone until after the live stream. What do you think will come of all of this? I for one cannot wait to see where this goes and what happens next. The entire concept of Neuralink overall blows me away and well, it’s going to be huge whether most want it to be or not.
