We all face negativity throughout our everyday lives and well, it’s definitely contagious. The more we’re around people who are negative, the more negative we ourselves will become.

Negativity can be very dangerous for a lot of reasons, not only does it make us feel like shit emotionally but it can make us feel terrible physically as well. I know, it might be something think we can control easily but it’s not really that simple. We all have to work hard to be positive. That being said, making an effort to be as positive as possible can work wonders in our lives.

Not only does negativity, particularly anger affect our heart health in some ways, it also really damages our mental well-being overall. I actually recently came across a Huffington Post article that went over how toxic emotions can lead to serious health problems and it really got me thinking about things of this sort. Toxic emotions are as you’d expect the exact thing we refer to as ‘negativity’ and well, they don’t do us much good at all.

Whether it’s directed at others or yourself, these kinds of things don’t benefit us and we should work to fight against them in our lives. If you have a lot of anger, hatred, and other things of the sort locked within, working through those things will help you in the future, I can assure you of that. Moving forward isn’t easy but the more you let go of these things the better you will feel in the long run.

Huffington Post wrote as follows weighing in on all of this:

Anger and hatred are natural, but they are also some of the most toxic emotions that we can have. Feelings of rage and hatred build up in the mind, body, and soul, affecting the body’s organs and natural processes and breeding even more negative emotions. Expressing anger in reasonable ways can be healthy, but explosive people who hurl objects and yell at others frequently may be at greater risk for heart disease. Prolonged bouts of anger can take the toll on the body in the form of high blood pressure, stress, anxiety, headaches, and poor circulation. Research also shows that even one five-minute episode of anger is so stressful that it can impair your immune system for more than six hours. All of these health issues can lead to more serious problems such as heart attacks and stroke. Anger and hatred can be directed at yourself or at other people, but either way, you lose when you allow these negative foods for the soul to take over. Fortunately, there are some ways to overcome anger and hatred in your life.

Negativity feeds into all the bad emotions and enhances them more-so than you might realize. The more we entertain negativity the worse we’re going to feel mentally, physically, and so forth. If you seek the presence of positive people, you too will become positive within more and more as well.

All of this having been said, there are ways to increase positivity in your life and let go of all those toxic feelings. Sure, it’s normal to have negative thoughts and feelings from time to time but knowing how to handle them can make a difference in how you move through life. Below you will find a video on how to increase positivity in your life, let the things within this video sink in, and really work to better yourself as a whole.
