As you may know, Mercury will be going retrograde on the 13th and with that, we’re going to be a bit more tense than usual. Mercury is a planet that a lot of people love but when it is retrograding the energies it brings forth are hard to grasp. 

This retrograde will be starting in the sign Scorpio and ending in the sign Libra at the beginning of November. While we are more intuitive during this time we also end up facing a lot of issues with the people closest to us. Conflict is not easily resolved during this kind of retrograde and well, we may end up feeling more nervous than ever.

Mercury opposite Uranus speeds up your thinking and communications which can leave you feeling tense and scattered. Unexpected news and surprising events can also increase anxiety.

Mercury retrograde can make it harder to perform mental tasks that require patience and self-discipline. Mercury retrograde opposite Uranus makes this even more challenging because of a low concentration span and a tendency to be easily distracted.

1. Don’t start new projects, but do be willing to finish old ones.

While you might want to dive into new things during this period, that isn’t the best idea. Instead of doing new things focus on the things you’ve been putting off and really get all you can done. If you’ve been meaning to get a project done, now is your chance to accomplish exactly that.

2. Make sure people actually understand what you’re saying.

When you say something to someone, make sure that they do not take your words the wrong way. If you go out of your way to make sure you’re getting your point across during this retrograde things will run much more smoothly. I know, you might think someone gets you but it never hurts to double-check.

3. Focus on self-care.

You matter more than you realize and making sure you’re happy is important. Take the time to relax and care for yourself properly. Life is short and you need to make sure you’re slowing down when you need to.

4. Don’t let delays and things of that nature get to you.

This retrograde will bring forth lots of delays and things of that sort. How we handle them matters. Don’t overreact to the things happening around you, take things one day at a time.

5. Clear out that clutter.

If you’ve been meaning to clear out some things and really work at letting go of things you’ve been holding onto for too long, now might be the best time. Decluttering is one of the most progressive things we can do during this kind of retrograde. I personally always use it as a means of cleaning out my closet.
