As we move through July we’re getting closer and closer to the night of the full moon. This full moon will be in Cancer and with it some interesting energies will come forth.

While we tend to think of the new moon as a period of rebirth, this one is going to bring a lot more struggle than we’re used to. The energies this new moon will hold are going to remind us that we all need to do our best to remain focused but also that we face a lot of ups and downs in life. You may find yourself struggling big time as the days pass following this new moon because its energies do not simply disappear.

This new moon will be opposite Saturn which in itself restricts us in some ways. The more you try to overcome right now the further behind you may feel you’re ending up. At the end of it although, you must do your best to remain strong. While these energies are confusing and will have you feeling as though you’re being pulled all over the place, do not forget where you are headed above all else.

Astrology King wrote as follows on this new moon and the energies it may bring:

The July 20 new moon is opposite Saturn so it is therefore serious, melancholic, and restrictive. It suggests tests and challenges could make you feel frustrated, pessimistic, and held back.

The best way to deal with such a repressive influence is to work hard with patience, determination, and persistence. But fixed star Procyon conjunct new moon July 2020 has just the opposite effect. It makes you restless, hasty, and argumentative. And this impulsive and aggressive influence is amplified by Mercury square Mars.

Thankfully Procyon also makes you driven and valiant, with the will-power and ability to put thoughts and plans into action. While difficult Saturn aspects also encourage you to think deeply and struggle hard in the face of adversity.

So this is a new moon to focus on the basics. Tackle one thing at a time and start with the most important task. Be patient, avoid taking unnecessary risks, and do not react to provocation. Struggle valiantly!

Don’t let this new moon get the best of you. Allow yourself time to think things through and remember to put your best foot forward. Things might get worse before they get better, but they will get better. You are capable of so much more than you might realize.

These energies will have a serious hold on us as this event comes to and perhaps well into the week following. Keep that in mind as you move forward. Just because things seem one way does not mean that is how they actually are. To learn more about these energies to come, take a look at the video below. Stay positive as best you can and remember that this moon isn’t here to throw you off, it’s here to help you grow. Everything happens for a reason.
