As we move into the month of January a lot of people are curious about the astrological side of things. While 2020 in itself is going to be a very powerful year, January itself is quite special.

Right now as we move into 2020 we’re facing residual energies from things that happened at the end of 2019. That having been said on the 10th of January there will be a full moon that should really pop things off properly. This full moon will be in Gemini and also happens to include a lunar eclipse.

This full moon being in Gemini is going to be quite interesting as its energies are going to have us quite distracted for a little while. We will be really putting our energy into specific projects but also having to fight the urge to start other things as well. That having been said, it’s not going to kick our rear ends too badly. If you ‘keep your eye on the prize’ you shouldn’t have any issues overall.

From there we will have several planets going through different conjunctions three of which being on the 12th of January. Those being Saturn and Pluto conjunct Mercury and Saturn conjunct Pluto. Yes, a whole three-way mess, or so it seems. While all of these bring forth different things within our lives the one most worth noting is Mercury Conjunct Saturn.

Astrology King wrote as follows in regards to Mercury conjunct Saturn:

Mercury conjunct Saturn transit brings critical thinking which needs to be applied to serious or challenging mental work. Without a productive outlook for your intellect, your mind may dwell on negatives and you would find it difficult to get out of such a rut. Such negative thinking can lead to depression and difficulties in communication. Harsh or critical words can then lead to relationship problems such as coldness, isolation or rejection.

The key to dealing with the heaviness of this transit is positive thinking and applying your brain to important tasks or even routine duties. Keeping yourself busy will counteract the tendency toward melancholy and meanness.

This is a good time for things requiring sustained concentration, patience, and sound judgment. Business dealings and paperwork are favored. A common-sense approach, attention to detail and long-term outlook make this an ideal time for setting long-term plans. Serious discussions about hardships in life can lead to useful outcomes. For example, speaking out about the underprivileged or abused in society.

You may act as a mentor or be sought out for advice, especially by younger people. There is the potential for getting into arguments, especially with authority figures. This can be avoided by earning and showing respect for tradition and ancestors.

See, the beginning of 2020 really does seem like it’s going to have a good start for us all. During the course of this month, we’re all going to be working to better ourselves in our own ways. Perhaps this truly is our time to shine.

This month in itself is going to be all about bringing ourselves to a new point in our spiritual lives and achieving more within this world. At this point, things are going to finally smooth out just before the new moon itself finds us on the 24th of January. This new moon will be a great way to end the month because it will really give us a sense of closure as the month has been or is going to be quite hectic.

This new moon will bring forth some mood swings since it is going to be in Aquarius but again, it’s not something you’re going to have an issue handling. It seems the positive aspects in this sense far outweigh the negative.

In regards to some of the energies this new moon offers Astrology King wrote as follows:

Mercury sextile Mars gives the quick thinking and reflexes needed to react to unexpected change. It can make you driven to succeed at something with a strong sense of purpose and initiative. You can achieve a lot of work in a short amount of time, with the courage and fighting spirit to take on just about anything.

Venus sextile Jupiter brings lucky breaks and helps calm things down. Like Mercury sextile Mars, it also brings charisma and charm to relieve relationship tensions. Most of all, this harmonious aspect fosters warmth, love, and understanding. It brings the prospect of new love and partnerships that will be genuine and mutually beneficial.

What do you think about all of this? Are you ready for 2020 or are you still on the fence about the things to come? I for one think January itself is going to be magnificent.
