If you are a struggling mother, be it on your own or with a partner, please know that things will get better. While times are hard right now, and you’re fighting to make sure your kids have all they need, the future will be full of so much love and growth.

I know you’ve been going through a lot lately, and I know that with everything going on in the world right now you feel like things are crashing down around you. If it’s not one thing it’s another, and it’s all getting to be ‘too much’, isn’t it? Well, hang in there. You are needed and you are important.

Your kids might not say it right now, but in time they will let you know how much you mean to them, and they will make sure you know the impact you had in their lives. You might not have many moments of smiles and laughter right now, but if you do your best to look at the bright side of things, it will all work out.

You love your children with all of your heart, and you would do anything for them, that much you should be proud of. You are making a positive difference in their lives and without you, they would not be where they are right now. You might feel like you don’t spend enough time with them, and you might feel like they don’t like you very much sometimes, but that doesn’t mean that they would be better off without you.

You can get through these trying times and everything will work out. You are a wonderful mother and if you truly do feel like you cannot move further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your support system. Your friends and family love you and your babies just as much as you love them, and they do not see you as the burden you think you are.

Don’t be afraid to take a few minutes for yourself to recharge from time to time. Your well-being matters just as much as your children’s. Without you being where you need to be, they would never be where they need to be, remember that. Sure, sometimes you might think things would be better off if you had never made the moves you did to end up where you are, but at the end of it all, you keep in mind that you would not change things even if you could.

You are an amazing mom, and just because sometimes you make mistakes does not change that. You accept your children for who they are, and you do not treat them as if they were your property. You help them grow in all the ways you wish your parents had helped you, and you are doing so much better than you might realize.

Please, if you’re a struggling mother, know that you are not alone in this and that there are other mothers out there just like you. You are doing so much more than you can see, and you are making a difference. Take things one day at a time and see where you end up. I am sure you will someday find the light that you’ve longed for.

The rough patches before you will pass in time, and you will be reminded each time your kids say something nice of all the things you’ve made it through in this life. Tomorrow will be better, never lie your head on stones. I promise, you are capable of so much more than you could ever imagine and when your kids are finally grown, you will understand just how great of a mother you have always been.
