I am sure you’ve heard the phrase ‘be grounded’ before, right? The idea of being grounded seems great but going about it is something not everyone seems to be on the same page about.

For those who do not know, grounding is a technique that has been done for a very long time. It is the act of anchoring yourself in the present moment and ensuring that your life force is flowing as it should be. Through grounding, you are more aware of the world around you and open to the things from above.

When grounding you are filtering out the negative and allowing the positive to grow further and further. Below I am going to go over how to ground yourself and while this technique is one that I use, there are others out there that you may find work better for you. Whatever works for you is what you should do, we’re all unique in our own ways.

Grounding Technique

Things Needed:

Nice quiet place
crystals and candles of your choosing


Find a nice quiet place be it inside or outside and sit to meditate. Hold your favorite crystals and if you would like light some candles that have smells you enjoy. Create a very positive atmosphere so that as you ground yourself, you’re being grounded into something that will benefit you.

From here envision all of the toxic or negative energies within your body flowing out and away from you. Once you’ve done that think of a white light and let that radiate from the inner core of your soul flowing over and forcing out all of the negative things you’ve been holding onto. Once you’ve managed to get all of that dark energy out, you are properly grounded.

Yes, it can be that simple. This kind of thing doesn’t have to be elaborate to work. You don’t need fancy equipment or anything of the sort, all you need is your mind and your body. The more grounded you are in the world around you, the better.
