The sky itself is symbolic of a lot of different things. When we stare at the sky as the sun is setting or watch the stars at night lots of different emotions come forth.

People who take the time to really appreciate the sky and all the beauty it brings forth in our lives also take the time to better understand themselves and their journeys in this world. They are able to slow down and appreciate the smallest things which in this day and age is quite hard to accomplish.

Below I am going to go over some things that I have found in the sky and some things people around me have also noted as being able to find when staring into the vast openness that is all we see up above. While not everyone will resonate with these things those who appreciate the sky itself on a real level will likely understand exactly what I mean.

9 Things People Who Take The Time To Appreciate The Sky Know That Others Forget:

1. Looking at the sky reminds us how small we are in the grand scheme of things.

When we look to the sky we are reminded that when you truly take the time to break things down, we’re tiny. The things we’re facing while they might seem big to us are small. We are nowhere near as ‘big’ as we as humans tend to think. There is so much more out there that we cannot even fathom.

2. Looking at the sky can peak our curiosities.

When we look at the sky we see so many different things. These things can bring out the most curious sides of us. Inspiration can be found in some of the most unexpected places, that’s for sure.

3. Looking at the sky gives you a chance to slow down.

As we take the time to stop and appreciate something the sky is showing us we are slowing down and giving ourselves a moment to be free. We are being mindful and taking the time we need to clear our heads. This is something that we all need and should indulge in as often as possible.

4. Looking at the sky reminds us of what true beauty is.

The sky is always so beautiful. It provides us with some of the most colorful sunsets and brightest stars. Whether you’re looking at it through a window or you’re actually outside and enjoying the rays of sunshine before you, the sky is a reminder that beauty comes naturally and is abundant in all things.

5. Looking at the sky can brighten your darkest days.

When we are feeling down-and-out taking the time to sit alone and watch the sky itself can bring us to a better place in our own minds. The act itself is meditative and allows us to free ourselves from our stressors. While it doesn’t last forever, it gives us what we need in the moments we allow ourselves to take.

6. Looking at the sky reminds us how mind-blowing nature truly is.

The more you look at the sky the more amazed you will become. It is truly amazing. There are so many wondrous things happening all around us that we rarely ever notice.

7. Looking at the sky can bring forth a sense of peace.

The sky itself is something that makes us feel better as a whole. When you look at it a sense of peace will flood over you depending on what you’re seeing. That clear blue sky even if just for a few minutes is more than enough to calm the most nervous individuals.

8. Looking at the sky can make you feel very special.

When you take the time to check out the sky, you’re looking at something so far away that it is untouchable. We are all special in this world and being able to see these things is mind-blowing. Somehow we were all placed where we are and there is so much more out there than just what we’re capable of seeing with our naked eyes.

9. Looking at the sky can bring forth hope like nothing else.

The more you gaze at the sky the more hope you will find. The darkest moments aren’t always what we make them out to be. Hope can be found in some of the most unusual places and the sky is one of them. It is and always should remind us to keep going.
