While we all think we know the signs that someone is our soulmate, what about the signs that someone is not your soulmate? Soulmates are people who are essentially our other halves and finding them is much harder than most would expect.

We all want to be in a relationship and to be cared for but falling for the wrong person could be a terrible thing. This world is full of toxic people and others who just don’t line up with our own goals and dreams. Whether someone is hurting you (be it emotionally or physically) or treating you well but is someone you have too many differences with, soulmates are quite ‘unique.’ We are all told when we meet our soulmates, we will know but what if you’re questioning things?

8 Signs Someone Is Not Your Soulmate:

1. They don’t bring out the best in you.

Your soulmate is supposed to bring out the best in you. Together the two of you are to grow as people and become better versions of yourselves. If that isn’t happening, you’re likely not with the right person.

2. You’re unable to really see a proper future with one another.

When you’re with your soulmate, seeing a future with one another should be plain as day. You can see yourself growing old with this person and are both able to sit down and talk about your plans for the next few years. Nothing is just stuck in the dark.

3. You’re both on two very different pages in life.

If you’re with your soulmate you’re going to be on the same page as one another. You’re going to be focusing on your goals and headed in the right direction. If you and your partner are headed in completely different directions, you’re probably not meant to be.

4. You cannot fully trust them.

If you can’t trust someone they are not your soulmate. Your soulmate is someone you can trust without a doubt. Sure, you may have issues from time to time but you are able to truly believe in one another.

5. You feel like something is lacking in the relationship.

When you’re with your soulmate things will not be lacking. Your soulmate makes you feel like you’re cared for and loved, not the opposite. Being together with this person should not feel like a chore.

6. Communication is seriously lacking.

Your soulmate should be someone you can communicate with properly. You both should be able to talk to each other about anything and overall get along quite well. When things get hard, you should both be able to sit down and work through the issues at hand.

7. They put you on edge.

If your partner puts you on edge and leaves you walking on eggshells, they are not your soulmate. Your soulmate as noted above is someone you can truly talk to. You are both able to come to one another about literally anything without feeling judged.

8. You could see yourself with someone else.

If you could see yourself with someone else, you’re not with your soulmate. We are humans, and we may still find other people attractive from time to time but acting on that is never something we do. When you’re with your true soulmate, no one else compares.
