While not everyone will agree on the benefits being around nature, in general, can provide, I for one believe in them quite heavily. There is something about plants and things of that sort that not only is comforting but also really helps
many of us to relax.

Now, there are tons of different kinds of plants across the globe and some are easier to keep than others, but they are all important in their own ways. Some help us relax because of their smell and others well, they do their own things depending on what you’re looking for. If you’re someone who struggles with sleeping at night, adding a few plants to your bedroom might not be a bad idea.

Below you will find a list of plants that are known to help reduce pollutants in the air, increase oxygen, and some of them are able to even reduce our stress levels in their own ways. While not all of them can do all of these things, picking a few to add to your room might help you get a little better sleep at night depending on what it is that’s keeping you up. I have three of these plants listed below in my room and well, I feel like they make a tremendous difference.

7 Bedroom Plants That Might Help You Sleep Better At Night:

1. Lavender

Yes, lavender – this plant is one that we all tend to usually love the smell of. Lavender is a scent that usually has quite the calming effect and it’s used by many to help get a better night’s rest. While some people opt for essential oils or candles, the real deal works wonders for me. Smelling lavender really brings me to a place where I am able to more properly clear my mind which is what I need when trying to sleep.

2. Jasmine

Jasmine is also a great plant to have around. Not only is it pretty but it also can help reduce anxiety. This scent might not be for everyone but for those who love it, it provides a lot of benefits. Some people even on occasion seem to think this one is more powerful than lavender, though I love both.

3. Snake Plant

The snake plant is very unique looking and grows quite tall. It doesn’t really have much of a smell but it can help rid the air of pollutants on some level. While some believe it is not able to rid the air of enough to make a difference, others believe it helps them tremendously. My grandmother stood by this plant for as long as I knew her and well, it’s one I won’t go without. It absorbs toxins through its leaves all the while producing oxygen and that’s something we could all use more of.

4. Peace Lily

While you don’t often see this plant in people’s homes, it’s one worth looking into. This amazing plant is a wonderful beauty and also something that will help to cleanse the air around you. It is also noted that it could help with humidity which helps some people sleep a bit better.

5. Aloe Vera

I’m sure you already knew this one would be present here but if you didn’t Aloe Vera is a powerful plant. Not only can its gel be used for burns and things of that nature, but it also helps work to purify the air as well. This plant is quite simple to care for and well, it’s one that a lot of people swear by. Having lots of plants that help to improve air quality around (such as this one) can really make a difference even if it’s not a huge difference.

6. Rubber Fig

This plant might look a little odd but as some of the others on this list, it also works to get rid of toxins in the air. While on its own it won’t be a huge help, when paired with others you may feel it is working in your life. Toxins can keep us up at night in ways most would not realize.
