Remaining positive in this world is no easy feat for a true empath. In order to find a source of power and replenish properly, empaths need to be able to combat the chaos and tension before them. As an empath, I am sure you of all people know how it feels to struggle with things like over-giving, people-pleasing, and being fatigued or exhausted after helping others. These kinds of things go hand in hand with being an empath and are sadly unavoidable sometimes.
All of this having been said, there are things that can be done to protect your personal energies and distance yourself from those who drain you the most. While it might not feel like much in the moment, the more caution you take the better off you will be. Below I am going to go over some of the more important things that you as an empath should be doing to ensure you are able to remain in the right mindset so that moving forward does not become impossible.
5 Ways To Remain Positive As An Empath:
While you might not realize it at first, there are people in your life who are using you time and time again. You need to distance yourself from the people who refuse to help you when you are in need. Only allow those who are willing to be there for you as often as you are there for them to remain by your side.
2. Always remember to meditate.
Sometimes it might not seem like you have much time to meditate but making time to do it is important. Through meditation empaths are able to regain some of the energies they lose throughout the day. When you’re at your lowest you need to give yourself if nothing else at least a few minutes to relax and let go.
Whether you realize it or not you are picking up a lot of energies as you move forth. Cleansing your aura is important when it comes to letting go of those energies. At the end of your day, you should before even coming into your home cleanse your aura with sage or your herb of choice. In doing this you are removing the negativity that has clung to you and refusing to allow it into your safe space.
4. Listen to your inner voice, do not let others cloud your mind.
Your inner voice is the voice you should be listening to. You should not listen to other people or allow other people to control the things you do. Keep your own well-being in mind and be there for yourself in the proper ways. When your intuition tries to guide you, allow it to do so.
5. Spend more time alone.
When you need to be alone, don’t force yourself to be around other people. There is nothing wrong with taking time for yourself and being as distant as you see fit. In being alone you are allowing yourself to recharge and finding your own source of energy within.
