Now that 2020 is here lots of people have been looking into the celestial world and what we have headed our way as the year unfolds. This year is going to be full of transformation and holds a lot for each of us.

Over the course of this year, there will be a total of 13 full moons. While that might not sound too crazy to some, it is very important to be aware of. The full moon is something that we can use to our advantage, and we should always make sure that we’re prepared for the energies they bring forth depending on what sign the moon is present in when they occur.

It should also be noted that 3 of these full moons will be supermoons and 1 of them will actually be a blue moon. While that might not mean much, it is pretty cool to look into. Now, for those who do not know for whatever reason, a full moon is something we call the moon when it is full. This is the phase when the whole thing is lit up and visible in the sky. Now, a supermoon, on the other hand, is a bit different.

A supermoon is something that happens when the moon itself happens to orbit while full closer to the planet we call home than it usually would. This makes it appear a lot brighter and larger in our night sky. While the blue moon doesn’t appear blue like you might want it to, it does have meaning behind its name. The blue moon is something we call the second full moon within a calendar month. This meaning if we have a month with two full moons present the second one would be a blue moon.

Now, the full moons for 2020 will happen on the dates listed below:

January 10th

February 9th

March 9th – This one happens to be one of the three supermoons of the year.

April 8th – This one is the second of the three supermoons set to occur this year.

May 7th – This one is the last of the three supermoons set to occur this year.

June 5th

July 5th

August 3rd

September 2nd

October 1st

October 31st

November 30th

December 30th

It should also be mentioned that there will be four lunar eclipses and while not necessarily dramatic they are quite interesting to see. They will be on January 10th, June 5th, July 5th, and November 30th. Of course, as each of these events unfolds we will go over the energies that they hold but it is quite interesting to see them all listed out as above. It really does seem like 2020 is going to be a power-packed year for us all.

The full moon we’re almost ready to experience that will happen on the 10th of this month is going to be in the sign of Cancer and could be quite the challenge for all of us energetically. Not only will it make us vulnerable to different emotional conflicts, but it will also be quite ruthless in many ways. For more on that please feel free to check out the video below.
