There are lots of different things that we as children can go through that turn us into emotionally numb people. We all grow in different ways and as that happens the things going on in the world around us shape who we become.

Emotional numbness is basically a general lack of emotion. It oftentimes is a symptom of some kind of mental illness and leaves many feeling quite isolated or disconnected from the things and people around them. If you’ve never felt emotional numbness before then it is quite hard to grasp. Those who have experienced it know how hopeless it can be, it’s not something anyone just wants to have to go through.
