The year 2018 is almost at its end with just a few more days left. With this, I am sure you can feel the energies shifting and depending on where you are spiritually it could be overwhelming.

With really closing out the year and doing what can be done to prepare for the one to come, you should be practice self-care and also working to cleanse the world around you. While you cannot cleanse everyone and everything you can clear all the negativity within your immediate circle. Whether you had a good 2018 or a bad 2018 promoting positivity as we move into 2019 is crucial.

Below I will go over some things you should do right now to get yourself ready for all that is to come. While some of these will seem silly they are all important. In doing these things you are building the proper foundation for the year before you.

13 Things You Should Do To End 2018 and Set The Mood For 2019:

1. Drink More Water

As we move into the new year, you should without a doubt try your best to work on your body and health in general. Drinking more water is one of the easiest ways to promote a healthy lifestyle. While you might not think much of it, the more water you drink (within reason) the better.

2. Open Things Up

Open all the windows in your house, really allow us to push the stagnant energies out. Let the light in and see where things go. This will promote a much more positive atmosphere for you and the people in your household.

3. Smudge

Smudge your body and your home, do this with the windows and doors open so that as noted above the stagnant or negative energies before you will leave. In doing this, you will become much less stressed as the atmosphere will not be as intense. This will really help you in more ways than you could imagine, smudging isn’t just something to do when you think something possess a family member, you should do it at least once every couple of months.

4. Meditate

Meditate over the year you’re losing and the one you are gaining. Free yourself through this and get rid of anything that might hold you back. If you’re nervous about the year to come, this should help.

5. Unclutter

Stop for a moment and give yourself the chance to finally unclutter. While it could be a big process, it will benefit you and the people in your surroundings. The more cluttered your home is the more overwhelming it might feel to you. Sure, getting rid of what you do not want or need might be hard at first but it gets easier, I promise.

6. Salt Bath

Take a salt bath and think about all that is to come. In doing this you will be much more relaxed than you might assume. You will become a better version of yourself and more-so able to let go.

7. Digital Detox

Turn off your phones and get off the internet for a little while. Give yourself a few days of time away from social media and so forth. It will surprise you at how great this feels if you must spend time online or on your phone, limit it as much as possible.

8. Set New Goals

Think things through and figure out what your goals are. As the year is transpiring, you will feel less stressed. You will have a plan and be more aware than you might have been the year before.

9. Let The Past Go

Before 2019 rolls around, you need to work to let go of the past. If you need to cry, do it. Get everything out and do your best to let go of the baggage you’ve been carrying for the past few years.

10. Get Out In Nature

Spend time in nature if possible. Get out there and smell the fresh air. You would surprised at how relaxing and comforting Mother Nature can be. This will also help you move forward in a more positive manner.

11. Have Friends/Family Over

Spend time to end the year with the people you care about the most. This is exactly what most of us need, the more time you spend with the people you love the better you will feel. Surround yourself with people you truly enjoy being around.

12. Add Color To Your Home

Bring in some plants and other things of the sort. Really warm up your home through adding color in the areas it is needed. This will bring a new atmosphere to your home and really open things up in the best possible ways.

13. Fix What Is Broken

Spend the last few days of 2018 fixing anything that is broken. In doing this the year to come will begin on a ‘complete’ note. While this might not sound like much, it will leave you feeling more complete than you did at the beginning of 2018.
