No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

There are times in our lives when we may feel like no matter what we do, we can’t achieve anything. Perhaps we can’t get the attention of the person we are attracted to, or we can’t get that promotion at work we have worked so hard for- these moments can leave us feeling worthless.

However, we need to remember that no matter how we feel, this moment will pass, and the thoughts that are produced when we experience these moments are fleeting.

If you are currently feeling this way, read the following.

There is no one who could do any better, because they aren’t you.

We each have our own path and sometimes we may feel insecure because we compare ourselves to everyone else. However, we can’t judge our selves based on other peoples actions because we don’t know what’s going on in their lives. Also, because they are not you and there’s no telling what they were doing your circumstances.

Everything will eventually come together in time.

Don’t stress, eventually, you will figure out what to do to get to where you need to be.

Each day we have a choice, and we can either spend that day in stress mode or we can choose peace.

While we can’t determine extenuating circumstances, we can control our reaction to the world around us. Choose to stay positive and remember you are doing the best you can.

No matter what, there is something you can do.

Nothing that is taking place right now can prevent you from forging a new beginning.

When we fail, we learn.

Mistakes, failures, rejections, and times when things aren’t quite working out, teach us how to become better.

Tell your inner critic to shut up.

That little voice telling you that you aren’t good enough can be shut off. Distract yourself, and focus on thoughts that place a positive spin on the thoughts of worthlessness.

Open your mind back up.

During times when you feel like you can’t get anything right, you close your mind to the possibilities that are available for you. Open your mind and realize that the universe is limitless.

Sit down and make a list of all the things you are good at.

Whether it is getting to work on time, or putting the dishes up each day, there is something that you are good at doing.

Everything that is shared on people’s social media is the parts of their life they want you to see.

It is so easy to want to think, ‘Why haven’t I been there,’ or “Wow, my partner doesn’t treat me that way. Do not get caught in that trap imagine what they don’t post.

Make a list of goals.

Come up with five ways you can achieve each goal. Are you trying to get a better job? Your list could say update resume, or apply for every job you see on sites like Indeed that pique your interest, and apply. Regardless of what your inner critic tells you.

What was impossible yesterday, may be possible tomorrow.

I can’t tell you how many times I thought something was impossible, and then boom, the universe led me to it anyways!

Every moment is a stepping stone.

Almost every accomplishment in my life was obtained on a journey of struggle, rejection, and feeling unworthy. But, I made it!
