As humans, we have a habit of questioning things in life. Everything can be turned into some kind of question one way or another.

That being said, questioning things is one of the best ways to challenge our minds. It can be both fun and overwhelming depending on how in-depth things get. Below you will find a list of some of the most thought-provoking questions I have come across. What do you think the answers are?

1. Are the things you see and the things other people see the same?

Are you experiencing the same reality that everyone else is experiencing? Sure, we all grow up differently and go through different things but what about perception?

2. Is there life after death?

What happens when we die? Where do we end up? Is there anything at all? We will never know for sure until we experience death ourselves.

3. What lies beyond that which we can observe?

Sure, we have mapped out bits and pieces of our galaxy and we know there is a lot more out there but what is out there? What is beyond the things we have observed? Are there more galaxies? Nothingness? Or could there be something completely unexpected?

4. Is life better now than in the past?

Sure, there are both good and bad points to both but which is better? Could the people of the past have been just as happy as we are or are we all miserable? Where do you stand on this one?

5. What would you change about this world?

I know, I know, there are a lot of things that need changing but if you could only pick one thing what would it be. What would the single most important change that could be made be? What is important?

6. How do you know your beliefs are true?

Of course, you may have grown up with the beliefs you have but what makes them the right ones? Do you have any beliefs at all? I am sure you do, we all do. They don’t have to be of the religious variety.

7. What makes people evil?

Are people born evil or is there something that happens to them that makes them that way? What is the root of all evil? Where does it come from?

8. Is time real?

Is time something we have merely constructed or is a concrete property? Could time just not exist? Is there really such a thing as the present, past, and future? Does time pass quicker for some than it does for others?

9. Who are you?

No seriously, who are you? What defines you? What makes you different from every single other person? Do you think there could be someone else out there in this world with the same things that make him or her different?

10. If some kind of higher power or presence created the universe why did it do so?

Why did the universe get created in the first place? There has to be a reasoning behind it? Is this all some kind of game that being is playing? Is it a being at all?

11. Will we ever evolve beyond our egos?

Are we ever going to be able to truly overcome our egos? Will the ego be something we face even a million years from now? Where are we headed as a race?
