The twelfth sign of the zodiac, the water sign Pisces is one that is well-known for being friendly, caring and compassionate. Ruled by their heart and their deep emotions, a Pisces will give nearly everything that they have in order to provide for those around them. Due to their extreme sense of loyalty and unwavering faith in those that they hold dear, they view the world as a place of hope and love.
Those born under this sign aren’t, however, quite as easy to understand as one may hope. While a Pisces is often led by its heart and emotions, there is another side to these individuals. Artistic and creative, they view the world in a way that most of us could never even begin to imagine. Occasionally seen as a ‘little odd,’ ‘unique’ or ‘eccentric,’ they possess an active imagination that can both help them to problem solve even the most difficult positions while also getting them into trouble.
They spend much of their life wrapped up within their own minds, lost in their thoughts and dreams. For that reason, it is not at all common to watch a Pisces drift off into their latest daydream. In fact, they often create a complete reality within their minds, a world that they can retreat to any time that life becomes difficult. Rather than facing the challenges of the world, they retreat, escaping reality for this happy, cheerful alternative.
There are times that they become so wrapped up in this reality that they have created for themselves that they struggle to distinguish between it and the real world that they live in. This can be incredibly confusing for them, as the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur.
A Pisces also possesses a thirst for adventures, constantly seeking out their next new experience. They become bored easily – including with their careers, their living arrangements and even their relationships. While it may come across as though they are unhappy with their current lives, this is not the case. They simply can’t help but consider what other big adventures are out there waiting for them.
Finally, and one of the hardest aspects of a Pisces to understand is their complex and contradictory heart. As previously discussed, they have an incredible level of care and compassion, however, they often appear somber, uncaring or distant. When this happens, it isn’t that they are no longer feeling these emotions – it is quite the opposite. When their emotions in life become so strong that they fear being hurt they will start to close off, protecting their sensitive heart from those that they believe may cause them pain. Be patient and continue to show them that they can trust you. In time they will open up.
