Yes, the future matters, and yes it can be scary to think about but that fear in itself is something far too many of us let prevent us from living life to the fullest. Life is meant to be lived and the moment is meant o be appreciated.
If you’re not living the life you want to live right now or at the very least working towards it, you’re messing up. No one knows what tomorrow will bring and we should all deal with that deck of cards when they come. Right now we should be choosing the paths in life that make us happiest, the ones we know are going to make us feel like we’re doing the things we’re meant to be doing.
You should not be so obsessed with the future that you’re stockpiling things or refusing to take breaks when they’re so desperately needed. No, you shouldn’t give up on getting things done and you should still remain productive but you should also be stopping to smell the roses. Life is a lot shorter than most people realize.
Sure, fifty or sixty years might sound like a lot but as you live it you realize one year feel like nothing but a mere week in some instances. Don’t give up on yourself and settle into the status quo if you don’t want to. Let yourself go through all the things you need to go through and stop being afraid of how things will play out. Sometimes the hand we end up with is much better than expected, even if we couldn’t see it at first.
Stop assuming the worst and constantly allowing this world to get you down. We are all human, and we’re all going to make mistakes in life along the way, that’s just how it is. The people you’re looking up to are not doing as good as you think, as I’ve said before the grass is only greener on the other side because it’s fake.
When you finally realize your worth and start putting an effort into your happiness, things change. Stop letting the future hold you back right now, let your right now shape your future as the universe sees fit. Live your life to the fullest and nothing less.
You deserve to be happy and you deserve to chase those dreams of yours. Don’t let other people tell you what to do, who to be, or how to think. This life is what you make of it and you are the one who gets to define who you are in the end.
