Saturn is a very powerful planet and where it is in the Universe matters, big time. The more attention we pay to this celestial body, the more we learn about ourselves.
For those who do not know, Saturn is a planet that cycles through constellations/different parts of space as all celestial bodies do and with that, it holds different energies each passing day. Because Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn when it is present in that sign a lot more than you might expect is in store. Saturn is a planet we tend to associate with restrictions and limits but to be honest, if you pick things apart it’s not quite that at all. Chances are you didn’t notice until recently but Saturn has been in Capricorn for quite some time.
Cafe Astrology wrote as follows in regards to Saturn’s influence overall:
In astrology, Saturn is associated with restriction and limitation. Where Jupiter expands, Saturn constricts. Although the themes of Saturn seem depressing, Saturn brings structure and meaning to our world. Saturn knows the limits of time and matter. Saturn reminds us of our boundaries, our responsibilities, and our commitments. It brings definition to our lives. Saturn makes us aware of the need for self-control and of boundaries and our limits.
Saturn is often associated with our fathers or father/authority figures. In childhood, the discipline, rules, and regulations imposed on us by our authority figures–from parents, teachers, and the like–were not always pleasant, but they actually helped us to understand the world around us. Similarly, Saturn’s lessons actually help us to grow.
As the year 2019 comes to its middle and in that nears its end, we should be working to look towards 2020 and the things to come. Sure, 2020 is not quite here and still has a ways to go but it is creeping up on us much quicker than it may feel as if it is. In 2020 a very interesting movement will be made. Saturn is currently in Capricorn right now and will remain there until March 21st, 2020. This means that as the months go by, this Capricorn/Saturn duo of energy is really going to be heating up.
Saturn will from here move into Aquarius but also move back into Capricorn in July of 2020. The whole of 2020 will as you may be able to tell consist greatly of Capricorn energies. Saturn when in Capricorn helps us find ourselves and allows us to overcome all the disrespect we’re facing in our lives. We begin to see more rewards and our efforts are recognized.
Cafe Astrology continued as follows in regards to Capricorn and Saturn forming one during this kind of transit:
Capricorn is a sign that wants respect and Saturn does, too. Saturn in Capricorn will work hard to earn it. We’ll also be seeing more respect for people who have put in the effort, as well as for elders who deserve it. Conservation is a big theme now. Taking the easy road is not favored during this transit. Rewards come from putting in the effort. We might also be striving for more authority in a particular area of our lives now. Where Saturn transits in our charts, we may be best off cutting our losses and rebuilding if things are not faring well.
Saturn demands simplicity, definition, realism, and truth wherever it touches our charts. Saturn also tests, not for the fun of it but for our own sakes. Saturn will reveal weak areas that need strengthening.
Saturn takes its time, and this is a good thing. With Saturn, we can only get to a healthy, balanced place if we take our time doing so, thoroughly.
With Saturn, a desire to gain control is present, and some of us might attempt to control the people in our lives, but this is a difficult and frustrating path to take. Eventually and ideally, we understand that it is only ourselves who we can control.
While the things before us might seem a bit overwhelming as you can see, they are about as positive as it can get. How will you be using the energies before you? Could this transit hold something that allows you to achieve your goals?
