In recent times it seems a Goodyear blimp which you would assume most would be able to recognize was mistaken for a literal UFO. While this might sound a bit out there, videos of it have gone viral.
According to Insider a representative for Goodyear has spoken to someone from their page and confirmed to them that the company was flying a blimp in NYC and Northern New Jersey at the same time footage of this ‘UFO’ was captured. As you can see in the tweet below, without having a blimp in mind, you might think it was a UFO but knowing what your average Goodyear blimp looks like it really does seem to be exactly that, doesn’t it?

Fox News wrote as follows on this interesting ordeal:
A viral video circulating on social media Monday had some New Jersey residents convinced they had seen a genuine UFO flying over their state.
But the “unidentified flying object” turned out to just be a Goodyear blimp.
In a video shared on Twitter, a man filming the “UFO” expresses amazement at what he’s seeing.
“Look the whole street has f—ing stopped! It’s a f—ing flying spaceship!” the man says, panning his phone around to show other dumbfounded New Jerseyans pulling over to the side of the road and getting out of their car to look at what was apparently just a blimp.
Another person posted a video, claiming that the supposed UFO was flying over Teterboro Airport.
“This is literally a f—ing UFO. It’s just floating. The ship was closer, it went up, a light was shining from it, like a beam. This s— it just f—ing flat and it was moving in like circles,” he said.
All of them people in New Jersey claiming UFO have never seen a blimp before.

While some people think those who assumed this interesting thing in the sky was a UFO are ‘dumb’ I personally don’t think they are. When things are high up and it’s getting dark, it’s hard to make out exactly what you’re seeing. To see more footage from this interesting ordeal take a look below. What do you think about this? Was it really a blimp or is that somehow just a convenient cover-up?
At the end of the day, not all UFO sightings turn out to be actual UFOs. While 2020 has been nuts at least aliens aren’t invading at the moment, right? Are you local to the area and did you manage to see this ‘blimp?’
