Yes, in this day and age the world is full of complete assholes but that doesn’t mean in serious times of need and extreme situations that we cannot help one another. Regardless of how cold a person is, usually when it’s actually a situation that could cause damage, they will show a change of heart you might have never imagined.
Sure, some of the people we pass on the street might seem judgmental and perhaps even come across as plain rude to many but that doesn’t mean we should sell them short. The goodness in others is quite present even if we cannot always see it. No one is perfect, and we all have our bad days. We should never hold those things against one another.
I recently came across a video that was essentially a compilation of videos that had been captured of your average everyday person doing some mindblowing things. In this video I saw people who were clearly family sticking up for one another and even strangers risking their lives for people they would most likely never see again and it truly warmed my heart. Sure, it might not happen every second of every day but it does happen and that in itself is enough for me.
When you’re down and out or you are feeling as if humanity is a lost cause I urge you to check these kinds of things out and read the stories of those who have been impacted by people they have never even seen before. This world is not as lost as we might think it is, and we can all work together to save it in more ways than one. Random acts of kindness be them tiny or enormous make huge impacts in the lives of those who are facing them moving forward.
“Heroes are made by the paths they choose, not the powers they are graced with.”

Below I am going to add the video I saw just days ago in the hopes that you too will take the time to watch it. While it might be a bit long it is full of fantastic people doing marvelous things without a second thought. That being said, it is not necessarily for the faint of heart and should be approached with caution.
How we react in the most important moments define who we are and the more aware we are of that the better. If what you’re doing doesn’t make a difference in the world then perhaps you are ready for some changes. This life is far too short to stand still through it all. We don’t have to be rich, powerful, or even able to do things not of this world to make a difference.
