We have had an exciting week, as Friday April 19th brought us the second full moon in Libra we have experienced in a row, and Wednesday brought an end to the shenanigans associated with the Mercury retrograde. However, as many of you may be wiping the sweat from your foreheads, you lest not forget that there are other important astrological events in store- one in particular began today, and things are about to be shaken up!
Ruled by Venus, Taurus is a very love oriented sign, that is both sensual and abundantly so. Paired with the grounded energy of Taurus’s element- Earth, as the Sun entering Taurus urges us to not only delight in Earthly pleasures, but to completely embrace them. Well, to a point, because the grounded and practical side of Taurus knows to not ever overindulge.
However, with that being said, one could say that it is ample time to take a moment to really enjoy the things we enjoy most. As we are being encouraged to take advantage of our heightened senses- from touching, to tasting, and even seeing, our entire Earthly being is being stimulated and pleasured by the experiences of the material world.
In order to fully appreciate the energy associated with this transit, take some time to rest, and indulge yourself with your favorite food, drink, and perhaps even take a scenic drive to your favorite place in nature that is overflowing with true eye-candy.
On another note, we should also channel our inner bull by putting our foot down, and not budging when it comes to our happiness. Right now, it’s time to set healthy boundaries, and to make yourself happy. When someone is urging you to do something that will bring you out of your comfort zone, say no. You don’t have to do anything that doesn’t feel right to you.
As Taurus is an Earth sign, if you are able- take to nature. Eat some delicious food, and nurture yourself.
Conversely, be aware of the fact that while it is one thing to put your foot down, and to want to see thing through to the end, sometimes not giving up can be a bad thing. During this time, be mindful to be flexible and open to the possibility that you are wrong.
And if all else fails, remember the words of the Taurean, rock-legend, James Taylor. “The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time / Any fool can do it, there ain’t nothing to it.”
