Eclipses have always been considered as major astrological events, and for good reason! Despite their occurrences taking place various times each year, they completely change our planetary energies in a MAJOR way.
For many people, eclipses are simply a beautiful way to embrace the beauty of nature, however, for those of us that embrace a more spiritual path, they are so much more than that!
For us, these events are a portal for growth. They usher in rapid change, for both internal and external circumstance. While this change may be uncomfortable, it is these periods in our lives that we will one day look back on and say, ‘That was when I found myself.’ It is in major change that we mature, and while some people may not accept this as a positive thing, if you are a truly spiritual person, you know that both the positive and negative times in our lives are necessary for growth.
Eclipses can take place as either lunar or solar events. And the time of day in which they occur completely changes what they mean for us. Many believe that a solar eclipse is a time of beginning a new cycle, while a lunar eclipse is a time of releasing and letting go.
And what makes our eclipse cycle even more fascinating this year is the cycle in which it flows. Somehow, our eclipses are going to cycle between Cancer and Capricorn all the way up until 2020, and this means something HUGE.
-July 2, 2019- Cancer Solar Eclipse
-July 16, 2019- Capricorn Lunar Eclipse
-December 25, 2019- Capricorn Solar Eclipse
-January 10, 2020- Cancer Lunar Eclipse
Due to this strange cycle, you can expect a variety of interesting energetic themes, including a more practical aspect of our selves. You may find a balance somewhere between this practicality (due to Capricorn) and the more creative aspects of the spirit found in Cancer.
However, if you don’t find balance, you could become lost in the chaos between the two completely opposite roles. As Capricorn is more masculine, and with Cancer holding more feminine energy, you may struggle with your own identity as each eclipse passes. Just remember to use these opportunities for growth, rather than allowing yourself to become lost in the madness.
Once you find that balance, you will achieve the growth you were intended to find.
