Far too often in this day and age, we give into the victim mentality. If this is something you’re struggling with right now, taking back your power and overcoming this kind of thing is crucial.

In order to get where you want to be you need to find yourself properly. Allowing the people around you to take advantage of your kindness and refusing to hold your own is a big problem that should be faced above all else. If you’re always thinking of things from a ‘poor me’ perspective, you’re in serious need of change.

Rather than taking help when it’s presented before you, you carry the weight of things on your own and complain the whole way through. This is not the right way to be living. If you want to be in control of your life and living positively you need to be willing to take back your power. People are not going to want to be around you if all you do is stress over the way things are playing out based on your actions. If your actions aren’t producing the results you want, change them.

Once you’ve come to terms with the fact that you’re giving into the victim side of things you can work to overcome this. Stop holding onto the things that you cannot change and if someone hurts you, quit giving them the power to do so. Yes, it is that simple but simple doesn’t always mean easy.

If you’re feeling some set type of way rather than blaming someone else for making you feel that way, let go of them so that they can’t make you feel that way anymore – within reason. We attract the energies we put into the world and if we’re not working from a place of positivity and change we will not be able to achieve the things we want in life.

Once you’ve learned to stop being a victim you can take back control of your life and work to make the things happen that you want to happen. Through getting your personal power back and no longer allowing people to take advantage of you, you can achieve a lot more than you might be aware of right now. While saying ‘no’ in the beginning will be hard once you figure things out and find your voice you will become quite good at it.

Rather than bringing down the people who bring you down, limit your exposure to them and build up the people who need to be built up. We are all in need of healing on some level and if you’re where you need to be on your path you will be capable of helping some people you come across in this manner.
