Once upon a time, there was a little girl who felt scared, lonely, and sad. She felt like an outcast among everyone, including the very people that were supposed to have been her caregivers.
Throughout her life, she never really felt like she belonged anywhere. When she tried to seek out love from her parents, she was denied. When she needed validation and comfort, she was denied. She was told she was too sensitive and ignored.
She wanted so badly to feel close to someone, to anyone, that as she got older, she began clinging to the wrong people. The more she clung, the more she felt like she was losing herself.
When she retreated to what should have been her safe space, it was nowhere to be found. Eventually, she stopped needing anyone, because needing people had only ever brought her pain.
She had wanted for so long to be loved, accepted, and acknowledged. She had tried so hard, so many times to get the love she so badly desired. And as she began to grow from a child into a young woman, she realized what it was she needed to do for herself.
So, she grew. She became stronger. She became wiser. And she became the loving person she had always needed. She gave herself the love and the guidance she had always longed for.
The older she got, the more she realized how important self-love was. She discovered boundaries and set them to protect herself from anyone who could ever harm her again.
She created a life that she did not need to run from and greeted her inner child with a smile and a loving embrace. And for the first time in her entire life, she felt truly loved and accepted.
