A lot of people ask the question “why don’t we remember our past lives?” when discussing reincarnation. When you really get into thinking about it, it makes sense that we wouldn’t remember them right off the bat, we hardly remember this life let alone our past lives.
Do you think we could handle all of the emotions of our past lives along with the ones of our current? Our fragile minds would not be able to deal with so much feeling. How would we even begin to process so many good, bad and strange emotions all at once? We would be overloaded and unbalanced, to say the least.
Now, that being said you can tap into some of these memories. Some people are even born with a few of them. Following the steps below might be exactly what you need to venture into your deep memories from the past.
How to remember your past lives:
1. Take a good long look at your belief system.
Were you raised in a belief system that denies even the possibility of reincarnation? If so you will need to come to terms with that or else your mind is going to block any attempt at breaking the barrier. You have been programmed to believe that there is no past, this is a big issue.
2. Look deeply and see the things within.
This one is much easier said than done, but it is achievable. When you accept these things and the fact that they are there, they will reveal themselves to you little by little. Have you ever noticed a person take a particular interest in a country or a place that they have never been?
This is because likely in a past life they lived or had visited and enjoyed that very place. You will see things projected on others at times if you are open to it that is. You cannot go into this with a closed mind, only those who truly open themselves up to get to see what their hidden memories hold.
3. Seek glimpses of your past lives out through your dreams.
This is, in my opinion, the easiest way to find out things in regards to your past lives. Before you go to sleep each night ask yourself if you can see glimpses of your past lives. Your self-conscious will deliver. This is something that may take a few tries to get down but once you do, you will love it! You will learn a lot from these experiences without a doubt.
4. Make a list of things you notice and keep track of all your dreams.
Keeping a notebook and a pen close by is a great idea. Make lists of the things you love and the things you hate. Everything from people, places, foods, animals, etc. This will allow you to connect dots and draw conclusions of your past lives based off of where you are now. It is also important that you record the things you discover in your dreams as soon as you wake. Do not leave anything out and write while everything is still fresh on your mind.
Do not let your obsession with your past lives overthrow the here and now, these things are important and will always be a part of you but the thing that matters most in life is where you are now. Doing yoga and meditating will also be able to help you remember tidbits of your past lives but as far as I am aware there is no way to fully remember your complete past life history and I wouldn’t want to even if I could.
There should be some mysteries we leave unsolved, this is one of them. If you don’t find what you were hoping to on your journey do not be discouraged. You have endless lives and at some point, you will end up where you want to be. There is nothing wrong with being who you are right now.
