When it comes to life we all need connections, we need to have people who care for us and want to spend time with us and in many ways it creates problems. Far too often people who want to use us trick us into thinking that they deserve to be in our inner circle and that can be emotionally devastating.

A lot of people will try to tell you that cutting them out of your life is a bad decision or a wrong decision but the truth is when you really want to make your life your own you have to learn how to cut ties. Toxic people come in many forms and can be quite confusing to pick out of the rest, but they are without a doubt present in all of our lives. When it comes to bettering your emotional state overall, letting go of the bullshit and removing the problem is always going to be your best option.

Below I am going to go over some of the more commonly noticed but hard to identify kinds of toxic people we shouldn’t be allowing into our lives. These are people we might find have been in our lives since we were born or mere coworkers we speak to from time to time, each one is different. You are the only person who gets to make YOUR decisions and you can choose to remove all negativity to embrace more positivity if you truly want to.

Avoiding These 7 Kinds Of People Will Make You More Emotionally Secure:

1. Manipulators

Manipulative people can be close friends and even family sometimes. They use our good fortune to feed off of and make sure the things we do are to benefit them. They force us to run around ragged all the while unable to come to terms with why we’re doing the things we’re doing. At some point, enough is enough, and we have to begin doing things for our own benefit rather than everyone else.

2. Self-Obsessed Assholes

People who only care about themselves are a waste of our time. They do not care about us or our feelings. When we come to them for advice they will not listen to the things we have to say. These kinds of people always expect us to be there for them and yet refuse to care for anything but themselves.

3. Ticking Time Bombs

People who are unable to deal with their emotions are in many ways ticking time bombs. When someone in your life makes you wonder whether or not you’re coming home to someone whose going to answer the door throwing things at you, you know there is a problem whether you’re willing to leave or not. This should not be tolerated and you should always make sure that you’re on the same page emotionally with your partners and other people within your life.

4. Jealous People

People who are jealous are only going to want to see us fail in life. They do not want to see us succeed or offer any support. They deserve no place anywhere near our inner circle.

5. Liars

Liars will come at you in more ways than you can imagine. They will say things for the hell of it and the more you try to call them out the worse off things get. Some of them doing it for a reason and others do it for no reason at all.

6. Gossipers

Gossipers do their best to make sure they get dirt on everyone. If they will talk about people to you they will talk about you to others. This is something we all need to be aware of. Nothing good ever comes from bad-mouthing the people around you whether you like them or not.

7. Debbie Downers

Being surrounded by positive people all the time isn’t a good idea but too much negativity is also a bad thing. Debbie downers are people who never have anything positive to say, they always make things worse and aren’t necessarily fun to be around. They can in small bursts be easy to face but overall they drag everyone they can into the dark with them.
