Now that 2020 is finally over we have moved into what many believe is the first year of the Age of Aquarius. While we’ve been facing some tough things the changes we’ve needed are finally before us.
When it comes to the astrological age of our planet or perhaps the universe itself, we face a new ‘age’ each roughly two thousand years. For some time we have been stuck in the Age of Pisces but as of late many have speculated that we are finally in the Age of Aquarius which I agree with based on the energies I have been feeling. I know, this might not sound like much to some, but it is a very important thing to be aware of.
In order for shifting like this to happen a lot of things have to fall apart so that we can begin again which is honestly exactly what has happened throughout 2020. The year 2020 itself has been seemingly nothing but preparation for our move into the Age of Aquarius when you really think about it. This in itself should be more reassuring than anything else.
Well + Good wrote as follows going over some of what the Age of Aquarius is:
The Age of Aquarius follows a similar progressive, forward-thinking, “we versus I” mentality of visionary, rebellious, innovative, and eccentric Aquarians. It focuses on humanitarian pursuits of valuing each person’s individuality, holding and taking care of each other as a unit, and also disrupting the system. As Adama Sesay, astrologer and creator of Lilith Astrology, points out, there will be a major shift in power dynamics in this era. “For eons the power has rested in traditional, oppressive hierarchical structures, and their beliefs dictated our reality,” says Sesay. “[In the Age of Aquarius,] the power is turning over to the individual, and giving the freedom for you to choose your own reality based on what aligns with your soul.”
This period will last for a long time as did the period before it, but it will help us grow in enormous ways and push us all to be more true to ourselves. Many of us will find that we are more caring of the people around us and that we are more focused on technology. Honestly, the Age of Aquarius feels as if it is going to be quite the age of forward-thinking.
While we may still have rough patches to face and the world itself isn’t in the best place overall, we can get through the things that are to come. Each sign of the zodiac will be experiencing something special and for some, that might be quite overwhelming. What do you think about the things to come? I for one am on edge and waiting.
