I know, life and love can be very complicated, and sometimes you might feel like giving up but don’t. Sure, you’ve been through some horrible relationships and faced things that you perhaps shouldn’t have but those things are preparing you for something bigger.
As time goes on all of the pain and heartache you’ve been through will begin to make sense. When you find the one person who is supposed to come into your life and help you make sense of it all, you will understand exactly what I mean. No, this person won’t complete you or fix all of your problems, but he/she will show you how to love yourself more and teach you that you are worth so much.
Life is short and we should not spend our time worrying about the struggles we’ve faced and forcing ourselves to remain stuck in the past. All of the times you spent crying over people who didn’t stay around and all of the moments you’ve lost that you’ll never get back won’t matter once you find the person who actually cares about you. This person will come into your life when you’re finally ready and show you what it’s like to really love someone.
They will help you to finally realize what it was you wanted all along even though you weren’t sure. Of course, you’ll have your own problems from time to time, but they won’t be anywhere near the things you’ve faced in the past. This person won’t jump ship when things get rough, and he/she will show you what it’s like to have a real ‘ride or die.’ You won’t have to worry about whether or not they’re going to cheat and trust will be flowing from both of you as if there is some kind of unbreakable bond between the two of you.
This person will love you for who you truly are inside and you won’t have to worry about whether or not their intentions are good. They will prove themselves to you over and over again even in moments where others would have fallen short. They will help you to understand that hard times do not last forever and that happiness is possible when we truly believe in ourselves. This kind of relationship only comes once in a lifetime and boy is it worth so much more than we tend to understand at first.
Someday all the struggles and pain you’ve faced will make sense. You will realize what it was preparing you for and you will accept the wounds you’ve been working to heal from without letting them bring you down and leave you feeling broken. You will feel safe, loved, and so much more. I know, right now that all might sound like a fairytale or too good to be true but it’s not and it will happen for you someday.
Stop selling yourself short and keep your chin up. Things will get better and true love does exist. You will find someone someday that proves to you just how truly amazing you are inside and out, don’t give up.
