When it comes to dating for some reason when we get comfortable we forget to tell each other how much we mean to one another. Our importance doesn’t diminish but it does go much more unspoken.
While it might sound a bit shallow to some, reminding the person you love that you love them is important. They deserve to hear how important they are to you especially when you can tell they’re down and out. They might not ask for that validation but being willing to give it to them will help your relationship flourish much more properly.
We all go through ups and downs in life and sometimes things become a lot harder to deal with than we might realize for the people we care the most about. Don’t you love being told that you’re still sexy, beautiful, important, and needed? Well, why wouldn’t your partner also enjoy that as well?
You deserve to be told how much you’re loved and when you’re really in your feels why you’re loved as a whole. The small things you do don’t go as unnoticed as you might think they do. Just because your partner doesn’t always thank you for bringing their plate to them or driving them somewhere doesn’t mean they aren’t thankful.
Considering it’s Valentine’s day (whether you’re reading this on or after) you as a lover need to keep these things in mind. We as couples might not always remember to remind one another of how amazing we are, but we do need to actively make the effort to do-so. Just a few simple words can really make someone’s day.
If your partner comes home from work after having a crappy day try saying some things to boost his or her mood and see how things go. Chances are they will love you more for it. Kindness goes a long way and should always be something we share and express with the people who matter the most in our lives.
Even just a simple pat on the back can pull someone out of a dark space. Be there for the people who are there for you and make sure you’re willing to use your tongue to say the things that need to be said before it’s too late to say them at all.
Even if it’s not a romantic partner and more-so your son or even your mother they deserve to hear it. If you’ve ever given someone a genuine compliment and let yourself really see how their face lit up properly you know this well. It costs absolutely nothing to be a good human being. You are capable of so much more than you realize and sharing that with the people in your life will really go a long way.
Be there for the people who matter, don’t waste your voice arguing or fighting over things that don’t matter.
