We all have soulmates in each life we move through. Some of our soulmates are meant to be in our lives for their entirety and others are only by our sides for a mere moment.

While the pain a temporary soulmate’s departure brings is devastating, it is necessary. We all grow from their presence in general and once things are all said and done, we have to work towards moving forward. Without the opportunity to have these people in our lives, we would not be able to move forward in the journeys this world intends for us to carry out.

Temporary soulmates for those who might not know are people from other lives with which we have deep connections who are present in this life for us to learn a lesson from. They come into our lives at the best moments and are by our sides through the roughest points. They offer us the answers we need and then when whether we’re ready or not, they exit our lives for us to never be ‘that’ close again.

Soulmates are not meant to complete us, they are meant to teach us and help us become better versions of ourselves. Oftentimes these kinds of soulmates, in particular, are able to make our worst experiences better and in many cases can sweep us off of our feet. Whether it’s a challenging and stressful lesson or a shoulder to cry on temporary soulmates are something we would not be able to get through this life without.

Some people actually even refer to these temporary soulmates as soul teachers and Intuitiveheal.com wrote as follows regarding their existence:

Soul teachers appear in your life to help you master particular soul level challenges. Most of us love this idea in the abstract but may squirm when someone seems more like an obstacle to our peace and happiness than a helper. Yet difficult people can lead to greater ease once you learn the underlying lesson(s).

Our minds want to find and fix the problem but our souls seek harmony and wholeness, knowing the universe brings us what we need when we need it. Every soul teacher leads us toward what our soul desires, not necessarily what our minds want.
