Being mindful as the year comes to an end is important. In doing this, you are able to really bring in the next one on a positive note.
For those who might not know, mindfulness is a pretty straightforward concept. It is being present in the moment before you and moving through life without ignoring your experiences. The more mindful you are the more aware you are of the things going on in your life and in that working to react to things more properly.
The more mindful you are the stronger you will become. Sure, you may have moments in which you struggle but overall being mindful is not as complicated as people think. The year 2019 is almost here and bringing it in with a positive mind is crucial. In doing the things below and following these tips, you will be able to start 2019 off in a way that makes everything fall right into place.
8 Tips For Mindfully Moving From 2018 into The New Year:
1. Remember to meditate more often.
Meditate more often so that you’re not holding onto negative energies. Far too often we allow the things stressing us to dictate our lives and this needs to change. If you want to move into 2019 with a positive mindset, you need to make your way towards one right now. Through meditation you will be able to finally relax in ways you might not have been capable of before.
2. Write your emotions out.
Writing is a way for people to really get things out. If something is weighing heavily on you, write it out and write out everything that comes with it. Get it all down on paper and shred it.
Doing this will allow you to regain power in more ways than you realize. It will give you the upper hand and leave you feeling much more at peace within. The more you think things through in this manner the less they will be on your mind.
3. Work on your concentration tactics.
Work on the ways in which you concentrate. Figure out what areas you ignore the most and explore them. Through making things like this, know you are not only getting to know yourself better, you are also working through problems. You need to be able to concentrate on the moment before you and remove yourself from everything else sometimes.
4. Give yourself a break if you need one.
Stop forcing yourself to continue on if you’re exhausted. Take a break if you need one. Don’t allow your own well being to fall behind for the sake of others. You matter just as much as the rest of this world.
Things aren’t going to fall apart if you miss one day or just a few hours. Sometimes giving yourself that extra time to relax can make a huge difference in how productive you are from there on out. If I’m in a funk, taking a break gets me right back to where I need to be.
5. Stop holding grudges and let go of things that no longer serve you.
Holding grudges does nothing but hold you back. Let go of things that you do not have power over and move into this new year without baggage. You are your own person and you get to choose what you let have power in your life.
6. Do something fun.
Spend some time having fun. The more fun you have the better, there is nothing wrong with enjoying yourself and your life. If you are always working and never doing things that bring a smile to your face is any of it even worth it? Our lives are much shorter than you think.
7. Be more patient if possible.
Patience and mindfulness go hand in hand. If you cannot be patient with yourself, you will not be able to achieve mindfulness. If you want to bring in the new year properly you need to be able to give yourself some time and space. Stop being so hard on the people in your life and yourself in general. No one is perfect.
8. Be as thankful as possible and give gratitude.
Being thankful and grateful is a big part of being mindful. While you might not be where you want to be just yet you have what you need and are on the right track. Keep your chin up and stride forward everything will fall into place if you continue on. The year to come could hold more for you than you think.
Being mindful is something that will bring forth a lot of positive change to your life. Allow yourself to take back power over the moment as it comes forth and seek productivity in the future. You can live your life and get things done, just be yourself and see how the end of this year plays out.
