Sure, we all like to share things in life but some things we should just keep to ourselves. Don’t get me wrong, it is great to have a friend you can go to when you need advice but some things just need to remain unmentioned.
Some of the more innermost things that we want to share should not be shared. Regardless of how close someone is to you the things listed below should never be spoken about. Keep these things to yourself and see how far you get. Oversharing is not something that strengthens bonds, it creates problems.
8 Things That We Should Keep to Ourselves:
1. Your Relationship Problems (Within Reason)
Now, if someone is beating on you then, by all means, let someone know but if you are merely complaining about your relationship to someone else, STOP. Your relationship problems should be sorted out within the relationship. Getting other people involved is going to blow up in your face at some point.
2. Your Good Deeds
Just because you have done something good doesn’t mean you have to tell the whole world. Do something without people noticing. Recognition is not as important as some people make it out to be.
3. Your Personal Life
Sure sharing some of your personal life is fine but don’t share every single detail. Set healthy boundaries and don’t push them. Only talk about things you are comfortable talking about, you are not supposed to be as open as you think.
4. Your Finances
Your finances are something you have to deal with on your own. Don’t mention this kind of thing with friends or even family. Where you are in your wallet does not pertain to anyone but you.
5. Your Belongings
While talking about the things we have can be fun it is considered to be bragging. Sure, every once in awhile this is okay but don’t overdo it. You might be doing well but someone else could be struggling.
6. Your Family Problems
Family issues are a big no-no. Sure, if something serious is going on and you must mention it be sure it is someone you trust but otherwise keep things on the down low. Don’t let this kind of thing slip, it will create more trouble than it is worth.
7. Your Struggles/Weaknesses
Never give anyone something they can use against you. Your weaknesses and struggles need to remain within. The more you share the less you will receive.
8. Your Life Goals
Sharing your goals makes them less likely to come true. Just sit back and get things done, speaking about it never did shit for anyone. Actions speak louder than words.
