A lot of people in this world seem to struggle with cutting toxic people out of their lives and while it can be hard, it’s one of the most important things we can do. The fewer toxic people you allow in your life the happier you will be.

If you’ve been wondering why you should cut someone who is toxic out of your life, stop wasting your time and actually accept the reasons that are before you. Below I am going to go over some of those reasons and you should do your best to let them sink in properly. The more honest you are with yourself the better your life will become overall.

We all have our own reasons for wanting to cut certain people out of our lives and you don’t have to justify those reasons to anyone. If you want to cut someone out of your life, do it. You do not owe them or anyone else an explanation.

9 Reasons Why We Should All Keep Toxic People Out Of Our lives:

1. They are doing nothing but bringing us down.

When someone does nothing but bring us down why would we bother keeping them in our lives? We are supposed to surround ourselves with people who build us up not people who want to see us fail. If they can’t support you they do not need to hold power in your life, period.

2. Every conversation feels like an argument and it’s exhausting.

There are always going to be people like this, and we all need to know not to give people like this the time of day. They are just not worth the time you would waste and nothing is ever as it should be with them. Arguing over and over again is only going to frustrate you without reason.

3. Our morals are just not aligned.

Sometimes we meet people who do not line up with us and there is nothing wrong with that. However, we shouldn’t keep those people close and then be upset about how they live their lives or who they are overall. They are living their lives and we are living ours, that’s it.

4. Being around them makes us uncomfortable.

When being around someone makes you uncomfortable, stop going around them. You do not owe them your time or efforts. This is not something you should ever have to think twice about.

5. They bring nothing but negativity into our lives.

People who do nothing but bring negativity into our lives have got to go. They don’t want to see us succeed and as a matter of fact, they only come around when we’re struggling to pour salt in our wounds. Does that sound like a friend at all? NO!

6. We cannot trust them.

Trust is important for all connections and if you cannot trust someone why keep them in your life? The people you allow before you should be people you can count on no matter what. Nothing should be left up to chance in this sense.

7. They are always judging us and talking badly behind our backs.

People who judge us and talk badly about us do not care about us. They are drama starters and want to do nothing more than stir the pot. These people are bad news.

8. They are more headache than they are worth.

Sometimes we come across people who seem great, to begin with, but once their true colors come out we should run for the hills. If they are more of a headache than they are worth stop trying for them. Quit putting efforts where they are not being appreciated.

9. They are using us and offering nothing for our efforts.

There are people in this world who will do all they can to use us and those people need to be cut off quickly. Once you see that your efforts are not even being met halfway stop trying. They won’t stick around for long once they realize you’re not willing to keep giving and giving without anything in return.
