When it comes to becoming enlightened there are spiritual teachers all over the world pushing us to learn more and become more. While we do not always learn the lessons laid out before us, they are there regardless.
Below you will find a list of some of the more universal lessons that many spiritual teachers will go over time and time again with those who are working to become more in this life. There is nothing wrong with learning at your own pace but we should all be working towards understanding at the very least these following things.
8 Lessons on Becoming Enlightened Spiritual Masters Keep Trying to Teach Us:
1. We are all cared for.
This is something we may not all feel but it is still very true. Accepting that there is something out there that cares about you whether you feel that love or not is important. Deepak Chopra believes strongly that we are all cared for whether we realize it or not.
2. Pain is a message whether you like it or not.
Going through pain sucks but it always brings a message. We must stop and listen to what our pain is telling us. If you touch a flame you will get burned, but you will learn not to touch said flame again, right?
3. You cannot have peace without compassion.
You must be compassionate in life. If you cannot live with compassion you cannot live peacefully with others. Compassion brings us all together and helps light the candle to a new path in this world.
4. If you need to figure something out meditate.
Meditation is something we can all turn to. It will help you clear your mind and bring you to where you need to be. This is the best way to cultivate a connection within.
5. You must appreciate all life.
All life is special and all life matters. We are not more important than others and others are not more important than we are. No one is better than anyone else.
6. Fear merely holds us back.
We must all overcome fear in order to become who we were meant to be. Fear is nothing but our mind telling us we cannot when we can do anything we really wish to accomplish. Do not let your mind hold your soul down.
7. Simplicity is the key you have been looking for.
Living in a manner that is frugal is the key to becoming focused and clear-headed. If you complicate your life with things of the outside you will not be able to acquire true happiness. You should know in your heart what is truly important to you.
8. We are all connected.
We are all connected more-so than you realize. Once you begin to feel this oneness everything will fall into place. We are never as isolated as we seem.
If you can accept these things and understand them on a deeper level you are well on your way to becoming enlightened. We all need to grow and never stop learning. Even the strongest most well adept person can find something that they do not yet know. Feel free to check out the video below.
