Narcissists are some of the most manipulative people on this planet and the more you give them your attention the worse things get. These kinds of people don’t care about your feelings, and they will do whatever they feel it takes to get what they want from you.
Now, for those who may not be aware narcissists are people with something most call ‘narcissistic personality disorder.’ This leaves them feeling better than most other people, experiencing an inflated ego, and most with it are quite arrogant. 1. They downplay your emotions and make you feel bad for getting upset.
Instead of making you feel better they always make you feel worse. They say you’re overreacting and try to make you feel bad for having your own emotions. Unless you’re feeling what they want you to feel, they’re always throwing you through loops you’re not prepared for.
2. They give you the silent treatment.
When you refuse to do something they want you to do they refuse to speak to you. They ignore you for as long as they need to until you give in. This is extremely toxic and no one should put up with it, period.
3. They blame things on you that you have no control over.
Narcissists love to play the blame game. They go out of their way to put things on you that you literally had no way of controlling. They never own up to their own wrongdoings and at the end of the day they put everything on other people.
4. They stretch the truth and lie often.
These kinds of people refuse to really be honest most of the time. They do what they can to gain the upper hand and that means they lie a lot. With these people, you never know what to believe.
5. They don’t give you time to think things through and are always ‘it’s my way or not at all.’
Whenever narcissists come to you for something they don’t give you time to think about it. They put you on the spot so that you’re more likely to give in. This to them is easier than letting you be your own person. When you tell them no, they go out of their way to make you feel bad and well, they’re not the kinds of people you can easily refuse.
