Anxiety attacks are easily one of the worst things a person can experience. While for the most part, they do not usually last very long they still ruin your day and in some cases much more than that.
Now, some people choose to deal with their anxiety through prescription medication and I am in no way shaming them. If prescription medication helps you to live your life and allows you to function properly please by all means take it. But, some people are against medications of the sort or simply cannot afford them. Regardless of the reason, this ‘natural remedy’ will benefit you greatly.
This specific remedy I am referring to is actually a yoga technique. This practice is known as pranayama and involves changing your breathing patterns to calm yourself down. You see, this technique in itself clears out any blocked energy we have in our bodies. It allows us to really relax within minutes.
What makes this technique so special is that it is so simple it can be used just about anywhere. Yoga teacher Gillian B teaches this technique quite often. As you can see in the video below, she has a lot of experience with the disorder in general and has seen success through using this technique.
I know I will be giving it a go the very next time I have an anxiety attack. Breathing is our source of prana and while there are tons of different exercises and poses of pranayama the one in the video below is a go-to of sorts when anxiety is on the rise.
