Our bodies are always at risk of different kinds of infections. It is very important to remember to detox from time to time.
There are tons and tons of different detox products on the market in current times, but most don’t actually work. To be completely honest, the best detox method I have come across is the coconut oil detox. Coconut oil for those who do not know is powerful and can benefit us in more ways than most imagine.
Coconut oil contains something known as lauric acid and it makes up about half of the fatty acids in it. During digestion, coconut oil turns into a monoglyceride known as monolaurin. This is able to kill off harmful pathogens like fungi, bacteria, and viruses. One study actually showed that these coconut oil compounds were able to completely eradicate Staphylococcus aureus as well as Candida albicans both of which are quite well-known pathogens.
Coconut oil also offers benefits like promoting weight loss, promoting oral health, promoting healthy brain functioning, and boosting the immune system. Dr. Mercola considers coconut oil to be quite essential. He believes strongly in the mounting benefits of coconut oil and many consider it to be one of the ‘healthiest foods on the planet.’
Dr. Mercola’s website reads as follows on coconut oil:
“Coconut oil also works on fungal infections such as athlete’s foot and ringworm. The European Journal of Pediatrics even reported research showing that blending coconut oil and anise was almost twice as effective as the commonly prescribed (and toxic) permethrin lotion for treating head lice.”
“This oil is easy on your digestive system, and will not produce an insulin spike in your bloodstream. The medium-chain fatty acids can also be absorbed easily in your digestive tract, compared to longer chain fatty acids found in polyunsaturated vegetable oils.”
Coconut Oil Detox
Now, when it comes to detoxing with coconut oil all you have to do is obtain some real, raw organic coconut oil. After you have the coconut oil either eat the coconut oil from a spoon or mix 4 tablespoons in some warm water and drink it every 4 hours 4 times a day for 4 days straight. The point is to consume enough coconut each day to reap the benefits.
You can also mix this coconut oil in with any kind of drink, smoothies work great and it gives them a delicious added flavor. That is, of course, up to you.
